Australian Bird Photography Meetup - Perth Zoo - 2pm - 2 hours
Photographing birds in the open can be tricky as you never quite know where they are going to be so using the Zoo we are making life a little easier for ourselves. We will learn the best shutter speeds and apertures to use to achieve the results that we want.

Beginners Guide to Night Photography Class - Northbridge - 6pm - 3 hours
New to photography? Our Beginners Guide to Night Photography is perfect for you to learn some of the techniques used for nighttime photography in a small, 3 hour class.

You'll learn about light trails, long exposures, light painting, B&W photography at night, bokeh, white balance and artificial light.

Perfect for those who have completed our Beginners Guide to Photography class during daytime.

You'll be under the guidance of Photographer Anna-Mair Francis, who will be explain in simple teams how to set your camera up for night photography, setting some challenges in various locations for you to practice your new skills, providing feedback and answers on anything you're not sure about. It will be a lot of fun and a chance to meet like-minded people to get creative.

Leading Lines Photography Meetup - Yagan's Square - 9am - 2 hours
Leading lines, they can be leading in, out or even around. We will walk around Yagan Square and other locations close by discovering objects or places that uses leading lines.

This class will teach how to give images a little more interest composition. Learn how to use the Rule of Thirds and when you can break the rules.

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations across the region.
New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month.
And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next one is!

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.
