Awesome tuition from Anna. We learnt a lot. It was very crowded due to other events taking place and a bit noisy but you go with the flow and appreciated the lively vibe. 3 hrs was probably a little too long for my brain to concentrate but given another less busy night, I might have made it passed 2.5 hrs before wanting to leave for some serenity 😃. Well done Anna!

I really appreciated Anna-Mair's patience with us beginner photographers. She explained everything so I was able to understand what she was talking about. I especially love creative photography so I loved the light painting and light trails. She also gave me tips on how to photograph my passion outside of the course aswell, which showed She really does invest in what she's doing. I was able to take what I learnt and practice it at home.

Anna-Mair was wonderful. What a lovely person and knowledgeable photographer who could explain at our level. She gave us very useful information to get off our Auto setting which immediately gave us much better results in our photos. It wasn't overwhelmingly technical, which would have been confusing, but effective and easy to implement information, with good explanation, which gave us fabulous improvements. We had plenty of opportunity to play with the settings to help reinforce the lesson as well as discussion and opportunities to improve our photo compositions. I wish we had done this lesson before we went to Europe; our photos would have been far superior. Thank you Anna-Mair. We hope to do a further lesson with you in the future.

I went out to York with my wife to photograph the Aurora. We ended up just on the side of the road just outside York where the Aurora flared up and I captured this photo of the Aurora underneath the Milky Way. This was taken on the 11th May, as a bonus this just happened to also be my 38th birthday. A hard gift to beat!

Photo was taken in South Perth, looking across to the city. It is part of a Light Painting presentation to the South Perth Camera Club, using a variety of tools, most made by myself. This one a Light Sabre using a clear plastic tube, wrapped in contact colours and black electrical tape. The light source, a military grade 1800 lumen torch and the effect created by starting low and doing a couple of turns, before doing some flourishes and switching off. It's about a 2hr drive from home, and with the help of Photopills, we could see that the moon would have set with the milkyway still visible at about 4am. So alarms were set for 1.30am, coffee was made and off we went. I use the intervalometer on my Canon 6D mark ii to shoot between 15-20 images of the sky. The lens I used was a Samyang 14mm, set

I drove my 10 year old son north to see them, this was a chance of a lifetime. I managed to get several amazing photos. Canon R6M2, RF10-20mm lens at 10mm, 30sec at f4, iso 1000, manual focusing. This was looking more north-west as most of the bright colours could be seen to the south, west and just north of us.
